Ms. Brinke’s Portfolio

My portfolio showcases various projects created throughout my Technology Applications for Educators Course with Dr. Carolyn Stufft.

EDU 260 Portfolio

In this course we learned the importance of digital literacy and how to properly utilize it in the classroom. This site is a collection of my works and developments throughout these past 5 weeks.

Word Cloud

This assignment was created to get my colleagues and I brains churning as to how we could use a resource such a Word Cloud in a classroom through using it ourselves.

I chose to complete mine on one of my favorite books; Les Miserables by Visitor Hugo. I found that this resource could be used in the classroom in many different ways, my favorite; having students complete them on a class book in a reading class to help decipher prominent themes.

Digital Citizenship Mini-Lesson

The Digital Citizenship lesson was to help get us familiar with creating lessons on proper digital use for students of different age groups.

I chose to gear my lesson for a 6th grade class, teaching them about how to be appropriate online as well as what some consequences might be if they chose not to lead an appropriate online persona.

WebQuest

The WebQuest assignment was built to display all that we had learned in this course and create a strong lesson for students, rich in technological resources to strengthen understanding.

Philosophy of Teaching with Technology

This was an essay which we each personally created discussing what we had learned in this course and how it has shaped our visions for our future classrooms and general education.

Technology Tools

Our Technology Tools Reflections were built to explore different potential resources to use in the classroom, weighing the pros and cons as well as projecting some potential uses for each.
